Angelika Mörlein was born in Fürstenfeldbruck, Germany in 1964. She took a degree in Industrial Design at the HFG University, Pforzheim, Germany in 1994. She started her career at Atelier Mendini in Milan, where she worked for Alessandro Mendini on projects for Abet Laminati, Alessi, Hanssem, Ilva Pali Dalmine, Koziol, Leonardo, Luxo Italia, Philips, Quartiere Maghetti Lugano and Swarovski, Milan 1995-1999. Check these funky floor lamp designs by Angelica Morlein. It is a new collection of floor lamps that is strongly inspired by the charm of the figures living and frequenting the rooms of Grand Hotel. They are guests who arrive and who leave, chef and waiters who work luxury and professionalism mingle, unknown origins and many different tales to tell. This is the main theme that guided this German designer inspiration and creativity for this unusual and new collection of five floor lamp able to furnish and, at the same time, to surprise, just like clothes that are able to dress and to give identity to one’s body and soul. These floor lamps would make a fashionable and fun addition to any room. These five floor lamps describe their identity by their clothes. Here, you could see that Brigitte, the French damme dressed in a pastel pink dress with pleats and ruches; Natasha from Russia come with a pleated black chiffon dress; Enrico-the Chef, always ready with white shirt and dark-grey Trevira; the last Gio the waiter and Miriam dressed in classic black and white.
