This rare and self-same calm house is situated in Brittany and was constructed by French firm Lode Architecture. The D House on the sets of an estuary; the crushed floor is a big open-plan space while the first floor has a series of smaller rooms. The ground floor has a glazed facade with views down to the water, the space is very exposed to the outdoor and there’s a lot of natural wood that also make it closer to nature. The stairs turn into the cubic shelves; upstairs you’ll find cork flooring and dark grey walls. Rough materials and natural shapes of wood give a strong contrast with the sophisticated glazed facade of the lower floor and make the house closer to nature.
