This is a contemporary table called the “Nautilus II Table”. More than 4000 individual pieces of walnut and sycamore veneer became part of a carefully layered construction, like excellence attained by natural forces. This impulsive design was achieved with the help of the Golden Ratio: the perfect proportions create a wonderful arrangement of design lines swirling to redesign the shape of a nautilus shell. This logarithmic spiral pushed the designer to make a piece of furniture true to its inspiration. The table has a texture which imitates the outside of the shell, shaped by hand carving the grooved growth patterns. Inside a satin shine has been created which runs smoothly round into the chambered area replicated in Japanese lace paper. This amazing table is designed by Marc Fish. Check it out!
